Tony continues to undertake and lead a combination of structured ongoing professional development and study as well as personal learning and self-development to further his experience and qualifications, as part of his ongoing commitment to professionalism.

Experience

Tony is the Managing Director and the Responsible Manager of Plan 2 Pty Ltd’s Australian Financial Services License.

Tony has a proactive approach to developing long term relationships which are based on high levels of personalised service, coupled with sound professional advice. He has been in the financial services industry since 1990, working primarily as a Senior Financial Adviser but also enjoyed 4 years as a Business Development Manager for a global fund manager and insurance company.

Tony's contagious enthusiasm for the financial services profession provides the clients he works for, with a sense of confidence and positive direction for their financial future.

Away from the office, Tony enjoys spending time with his wife Meredith and two sons Lochlan and Harrison. He enjoys going to the gym, running and generally keeping fit as well as all outdoor activities. He also enjoys watching and participating in a very wide range of sports, but also enjoys other cultural activities and sharing fine food and wine with friends and family.

David is Senior Financial Adviser with Life Assets. He is an Authorised Representative of Plan 2 Pty Ltd and has been issued Authorised Representative Number 361919 by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). David is authorised to provide financial advice and deal in financial products.

Education and Qualifications

David is a member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) professional. He holds a Masters Degree in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Southern Queensland, the FAAA Diploma of Financial Planning (equivalent to the current Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning) and also a Graduate Diploma of Management from Deakin University.

David is also a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) [JP(Qual.)] for the State of Queensland.

Additionally, he holds professional engineering qualifications and is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and a Chartered Professional Engineer (Retired).

Experience

David entered the financial planning profession in 1994 following a successful Electrical Engineering career in the Royal Australian Navy. He has more than 29 years’ experience in wealth management and providing professional financial advice, including over 9 years operating and managing an Australian Financial Services Licence for a large Brisbane chartered accounting firm.

David helps people to make smart choices about their money in harmony with their own values and for reasons that are important to them. He works with them to develop comprehensive strategies and investment solutions to maximise their wealth opportunities. He specialises in providing strategic wealth management advice, planning and implementation.

Away from the office, David is actively involved in the community as a Member of the Redcliffe Central Lions Club.

David has also served an 11 year term on the Board of Directors of Karuna Hospice Services, a charitable palliative care organisation that provides in-home care to the terminally ill and support for their families. He maintains his involvement with Karuna in a volunteer capacity.

David holds the rank of Commander in the Royal Australian Navy Retired List and continues to maintain an active interest in Naval matters and broader Defence issues.


Henry McGhee Dip FP

Experience

Henry’s life in the Financial Services Industry commenced back in 2005 whilst working for a successful Sunshine Coast based financial planning firm. Before joining Life Assets as our ‘Review Manager’ back in 2011, Henry’s most role was working as a Business Development Manager for a Brisbane’s based Boutique Superannuation Funds.

Henry is passionate about providing holistic advice, helping clients to develop and implement sound strategies and make appropriate decisions to realise their goals.

Away from the office Henry loves spending time with his wife and 2 young children. Most weekends are spent enjoying good food and wine with friends and family.

Tim has completed the Graduate Certificate of Financial Planning and the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management. Tim is continuing to study to achieve a Masters in Financial Planning.

Experience

Tim has worked in the financial services industry since 2012. Tim changed from working behind the scenes as a paraplanner, to providing advice to clients in 2018. Tim has experience in developing complex strategies including those involving property, superannuation, direct investments, insurance and Self Managed Superannuation Funds.

Tim has a clear focus on assisting his clients to develop sound strategies and use appropriate asset selection to realise their goals.

Tim enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife when he is away from work.

Experience

Stuart started working as an adviser in 2005 and worked primarily with Boutique Financial Planning practices before establishing his own business on the Sunshine Coast in 2010 as the principal adviser in his own practice. Stuart has now joined the Life Assets team as a senior financial adviser and brings with him the experience he has gained since 2005, not only as a financial adviser, but also as a business owner.

Stuart has a genuine interest in working with you to create a solution to help generate and protect your future wealth, assisting you to achieve your financial and lifestyle goals.

For those approaching retirement, Stuart has a particular interest and expertise in creating tax-effective income streams, to maximise your income through retirement. This process can start by helping to create wealth on the lead up to retirement, and then assist with the creation of long-term income streams and Centrelink advice where appropriate.

Aged Care advice is another specialist area Stuart enjoys working in and where he can assist with an appropriate strategy to help achieve the desired outcome for a parent, or family member, in this increasingly complex area, at an often, difficult time.

Stuart lives on the Sunshine Coast with his wife Helen and in his spare time, enjoys sailing off the coastal waters of Mooloolaba with the Sunshine Coast Yacht Club and has a keen interest in cooking and catching up with friends.

Kellie has completed a Master of Financial Planning and Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning.

Experience

Kellie has worked in the financial services industry since 2002 as a Practice Manager, Operations Manager and Financial Adviser. Before that time, she worked for Chief Executives and Boards in both the private and public sector in Sydney and Brisbane.

She enjoys 'joining dots' for others, helping make the difficult become simple. It’s an intrinsic talent that draws upon her technical knowledge of financial planning strategies, and her need to nurture. Kellie holds specialisation in Direct Investments, Self-Managed Superannuation Funds and Aged Care.

Kellie is passionate about helping clients, especially during life stages where they may feel more vulnerable. This has resulted in her more recent focus in working with clients in the pre and post-retirement phase. When completing her Master of Financial Planning, Kellie’s research project focused on the financial and emotional impacts on children when an elderly family member commences informal home care.

When Kellie’s not working with clients, you’ll find her with her family and friends learning to wakeboard on the dams in and around south-east Queensland. She’s also a fan of all things sport and has a particular interest in planning a retirement that allows her family to spectate at F1 and tennis events here and abroad.

Sharyn Clark Dip FP (FPA), J.P (Qual)

Practice Manager

Sharyn is employed as Practice Manager of Life Assets.

Sharyn has completed the Diploma of Financial Planning (equivalent to the current Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning), has a certificate in Self-Managed Super Fund Advice and is also a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). Sharyn continues to undertake structured ongoing professional development to further her experience and qualifications as part of her ongoing commitment to professionalism.

Experience

Sharyn has been in the financial planning industry since 1990 and has a broad depth of knowledge and understanding of the many facets of financial planning. Sharyn manages the back-office systems and technology in the business and strives to ensure the efficiency of the office.

Sharyn is involved with the management of the business, compliance and general oversight of advice and compliance. Sharyn is also a Director of Super Admin Solutions, our sister company which provides tax services and administration to Self-Managed Super Fund trustees.

Away from the office, Sharyn enjoys travelling, camping and seeing the great outdoors.


Talitha Bosley

Client Service Manager

Talitha is a client service specialist with Life Assets and is dedicated to providing high levels of service. She undertakes and manages client service and administrative activities but also helps our advisers to professionally implement the strategies and products they recommend.

Experience

Talitha started working within the industry in 2009, working for a Superannuation Administration company for over 9 years.

Talitha is involved with assisting our clients, advice implementation and ensuring compliance measures are followed.

Away from the office, Talitha enjoys spending time with family and friends and keeping fit and healthy.


Lochlan Sirett BBsMn/BIT

Operations Manager & Adviser Assistant

Lochlan is an adviser assistant and assists with the operation and administration of the systems that power Life Assets. Additionally, he works closely with senior financial advisers on financial investigation, analysis, strategy development and implementation of professional advice.

Education and Qualifications

Lochlan has completed a dual degree in business management and IT from the University of Queensland.

He is currently studying a Master of Financial Planning degree and progressing his career towards being a financial adviser whilst undertaking all the requirements and completing his professional year, to become a licenced financial adviser.

Experience

Lochlan commenced working at Life Assets full time in January 2021. Prior to this, he was a full stack web developer, and computer coder for other technology firms. He has also provided high level technology support, created, and supported multiple websites for a variety of businesses independently.

Lochlan had formally worked in IT for 3 years before making the transition into financial advice. Working extensively with enterprise software, system integrations and data analysis. Primarily in corporate compliance and finance. He has consulted for large organisations and governments.

Additionally, he has a passion for and broad knowledge of finance, economics, and markets. Having had a keen desire to learn by optimising his own investments and situation. He has experience combining financial service with his programming knowledge to create detailed analysis, which helps to determine the optimal way forward.

Away from the office, Lochlan enjoys catching up with family and friends.


Liam Kirkpatrick BCom/BSc

Adviser Assistant

Liam is an adviser assistant and works closely with senior financial advisers on financial investigation, analysis, strategy development and implementation of professional advice.

Education and Qualifications

Liam has successfully completed a dual bachelor’s degree in Commerce & Science through the University of Queensland, majoring in accounting and ecology respectively.

Liam is an integral part of the Life Assets team and is currently completing a Master of Financial Planning degree whilst undertaking all the requirements and completing his professional year, to become a licenced financial adviser.

Experience

Liam has a keen interest in financial matters and is especially interested in sustainable and environmental practices & how he can apply this to the benefit of clients. Prior to joining Life Assets, Liam was already investing personally, learning and developing his understanding of investments markets.

Liam has an extensive employment history (10+ years) in the retail, hospitality and sales sectors. Even with such a diverse background, he’s developed a passion for financial planning and investing and finds it incredibly rewarding to support people and help provide them with financial security.

Out of the office, Liam plays futsal several times a week and continues his studies.


Harry Sirett

Adviser Assistant

Harry is undertaking his “professional year” and currently working as an adviser assistant. This means he is completing all formal, structured, and practical training required to become a financial adviser. He works closely alongside senior financial advisers and assists with financial investigation, analysis, strategy development and implementation of professional financial advice.

Education and Qualifications

After graduating from Brisbane Grammar School with a strong tertiary entrance score, Harry commenced a bachelor’s degree in politics, philosophy, and economics at the University of Queensland. He then transferred to Physiotherapy at James Cook University, before deciding on a career in financial advice.

Whilst gaining knowledge and experience working full time, he is also currently undertaking a Master of Financial Planning degree and progressing his career towards being a financial adviser.

Experience

Harry commenced working at Life Assets full time in August 2022. He continues to build his experience in financial services.

Prior to this role, he held various roles including working in a distillery and working for McDonalds.

Away from the office Harry likes to work on his fitness by going to the gym and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoys a wide variety of sports and all water sports including fishing and boating.
