Salary Packaging
Salary Packaging Is an arrangement between you and your employer whereby certain expenses can be paid on your behalf with pre tax earnings by your employer which you would normally pay with after tax income.
Employees working under State and Federal Government Departments have very specific arrangements, and some large organizations build salary packaging into a total Employment Arrangement where they pay any additional tax on an employee benefit which is seen as a fringe benefit.
The options available depend on whether your Employer is in lieu of or agrees to forgo part of their future entitlement to salary or wages in return for the employer providing them with benefits of a similar cost (to the employer). One of the most packaged items is a vehicle, if established correctly, your tax can be reduced whilst increasing your disposable income
